Job Title: Director of Strategic Accounts

This role requires candidates to be located within a 30-mile radius of the Philadelphia market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Drive revenue growth by selling AFS solutions to qualified prospects and current clients.
  • Maintain regular communication and contact with clients to provide outstanding in-region client support.
  • Meet/exceed sales targets and client retention.
  • Uphold core values: Ethics, Engagement, and Excellence.
Essential Functions:
  1. Manage a list of current AFS clients for relationship management and prospecting for upsell opportunities.
  2. Prospect and sell multimodal/multiservice opportunities within assigned regions.
  3. Manage the AFS customer experience to ensure client retention.
  4. Work with assigned accounts and assist Customer Service in supporting client needs.
  5. Conduct structured periodic business reviews to explore additional opportunities for AFS.
Requirements:
  • Solid sales, account management, and transportation knowledge.
  • Consultative sales training or experience.
  • Ability to deliver effective communications and obtain client commitment.
  • Strong network of contacts in the transportation industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-level decision makers.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of transportation experience in multiple modes.
  • Minimum of 3 years business development experience with third-party or contract logistics.
