Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Service Agent to join our team at Fairfield Inn. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register and assign rooms to guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Issue room keys and provide guests with essential information about hotel services and amenities.
  • Sort and track incoming mail and messages, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Utilize various communication channels to transmit and receive messages, ensuring prompt and effective communication with guests and colleagues.
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, and local information, providing accurate and helpful responses.
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability and rates, ensuring up-to-date information for guests and colleagues.
  • Process payments, compute bills, and make changes for guests, handling financial transactions with precision and care.
  • Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via various communication channels, ensuring seamless and efficient service.
  • Post charges to guest bills, if necessary, and make reservation, transportation, or entertainment arrangements for guests.
  • Deposit guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box, maintaining a secure and trustworthy environment.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of hotel departments and functions, ensuring a high level of expertise and professionalism.
Requirements
  • High school education required; relevant training and experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately report information and assist with various office tasks as needed.
  • Scrupulous adherence to all StepStone Hospitality policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
Physical Requirements
  • Minimum lifting of 20 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, and manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, and typing.
  • Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
  • Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
  • CPR and first aid training preferred.
  • Additional language ability preferred.
