Job Overview

The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for guests at StepStone Hospitality Inc. This position is responsible for managing guest check-ins and check-outs, providing information about hotel services, and addressing inquiries with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register guests and allocate rooms efficiently.
  • Provide room keys and detailed instructions to guests or Guest Service Agents.
  • Manage and track incoming correspondence and messages.
  • Facilitate communication through various channels to relay messages.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, reservations, and local attractions.
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability and pricing.
  • Calculate bills, process payments, and provide change as necessary.
  • Handle reservations, including modifications and cancellations, through multiple communication methods.
  • Post charges to guest accounts in the event of system outages.
  • Assist guests with transportation and entertainment bookings.
  • Safeguard guest valuables in the hotel safe.
  • Utilize office software proficiently for various tasks.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, including night audit procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Strong command of the English language for effective communication.
  • Ability to accurately document and report information.
  • Willingness to assist with various administrative tasks as required.
  • Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  • Complete projects and assignments with diligence and professionalism.
  • Adapt to high-pressure situations and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Take initiative for personal and professional development.
  • Thorough understanding of all hotel departments and their functions.
  • Proficient mathematical and computer skills are essential.
  • A high school diploma is required; relevant experience and additional education are preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is a plus.
  • Additional language skills are advantageous.
