The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for all guests at StepStone Hospitality Inc. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at providing exceptional service and maintaining the smooth operation of the front desk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration: Efficiently register and allocate rooms to guests, ensuring a seamless check-in process.
  • Room Key Management: Issue room keys and provide clear escort instructions to the Guest Service Agent or directly to guests.
  • Communication Handling: Sort and track incoming mail and messages, transmitting and receiving communications through various channels.
  • Guest Inquiries: Respond to questions regarding hotel services, guest registration, and local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Room Availability Tracking: Maintain accurate records of room availability and rates.
  • Billing Processes: Compute bills, collect payments, and provide change to guests as necessary.
  • Reservation Management: Make, confirm, and cancel reservations through all communication methods.
  • Charge Posting: Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest bills when the interface is unavailable.
  • Guest Services: Arrange transportation or entertainment reservations for guests as needed.
  • Valuables Security: Safeguard guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box.
  • Office Software Proficiency: Demonstrate the ability to accurately utilize various office software.
  • Shift Knowledge: Possess comprehensive knowledge and expertise of each shift, including night audit procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in the English language to effectively communicate with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Ability to accurately report information and assist with various office tasks as required.
  • Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Participation in required meetings and completion of projects with professionalism and care.
  • Ability to adapt to high-pressure situations and embrace change.
  • Responsibility for personal growth and development.
  • Thorough understanding of all hotel departments and functions.
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • High school diploma required; relevant training and experience, along with additional education, preferred.
  • CPR and first aid training is advantageous.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
