Position Overview

The Talent Mine is in search of an Employee Leave and Accommodation Consultant to manage maternity leave coverage for our aerospace client. This role is essential for ensuring a seamless transition and support for employees during their leave periods. If you possess extensive expertise in leave management and accommodations, we would like to discuss this opportunity with you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Senior Consultant for the Benefits Team, overseeing leave case management and addressing complex inquiries.
  • Engage with employees, managers, and HR Business Partners throughout the leave process, providing guidance and education.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on leave programs, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and ADA compliance.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to implement effective leave policy programs across the organization.
  • Facilitate group and individual consultations regarding leave and disability benefits.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of leave, accommodation, and disability cases.
  • Work with legal and compliance teams on regulatory issues related to leave and accommodations.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Build trust within the Benefits and Leaves Team through proactive communication.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential situations with discretion.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee medical information.
  • Stay informed about all relevant leave and accommodation laws, including FMLA and ADA.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Benefits, with at least 3 years in Disability and Leave Administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory disability plans and federal/state leave regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HRIS and benefits databases.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • High integrity and the ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Self-motivated and accountable for work outcomes.
