Job DescriptionOverview:
The Telecommunications Solutions Engineer is responsible for the strategic planning, design, implementation, and management of the voice communication infrastructure. This role involves supporting both traditional voice systems and pioneering technology solutions that align with organizational objectives for future advancements.

Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the routine maintenance and operational support of the PBX systems.
· Duties include the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of all voice communication systems, voicemail services, and teleconferencing solutions.
· Analyze and troubleshoot telecommunications circuit problems and address user requirements as necessary.
· Manage service requests with vendors and service providers effectively.
· Provide expert guidance on solutions, security measures, and priorities related to the voice communication framework.
· Develop and uphold technical standards, procedures, and methodologies for resolving voice service challenges to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
· Facilitate the establishment and enforcement of standards and guidelines that govern voice network solutions throughout the organization securely.
· Participate in after-hours on-call support, monitor incident management queues, and adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) to meet operational performance targets.
· Engage in both scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance, including change management and off-hours support.
· Act as the primary liaison and subject matter expert between architecture, security, and engineering teams to integrate technical solutions into complex, customer-facing production environments and user applications.
· Involve in product evaluations, system testing, certification, and lifecycle management.
· Manage change management protocols and take ownership of planning and executing complex, secure changes.
· Offer technical direction and leadership to project teams and individuals as needed.
· Provide expertise in all aspects of voice communication and related technical designs.
· Respond to, analyze, and follow up on outstanding voice communication issues at all levels, ensuring timely resolution.
· Promote improved communication and collaboration across departments.
· Additional responsibilities include vendor management, incident management, problem resolution, capacity planning, service acceptance, event management, performance oversight, and compliance with standards, focusing on service restoration and proactive improvement.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· Over 10 years of experience in telecommunications and managing a PBX environment.
· At least 7 years of experience with Avaya Aura Communications Manager.
· Familiarity with SIP environments, including Avaya Workplace and SIP endpoints.
· Proficient in tracing and troubleshooting SIP calls using Avaya SBC and Session Manager.
· Ability to design and oversee complex voice network products and services to meet corporate requirements.
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with extensive experience in voice communications.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proven customer service orientation and experience interfacing with various stakeholders.
· Ability to lead and influence individuals at all organizational levels.
· Successful track record in managing concurrent issues in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
· Advanced understanding of business strategy as it pertains to voice communication.
· Innovative professional with in-depth knowledge of networking and voice technologies.
· Strong understanding of networks/VLANs with the ability to apply analytical skills to solve complex Telecom and IT challenges.
· Technical aptitude complemented by strong business acumen, communication, and interpersonal skills, including integrity and reliability.
· Familiarity with technologies such as Avaya Aura Communications Manager, SIP call tracing, Avaya CMS, and various Avaya devices.
