Job Summary

This position requires a thorough understanding of civil design and engineering techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting independent work, utilizing judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design civil solutions to unique obstacles on a site, including storm water control, access road grading, and retaining wall design.
  • Devise new approaches to problems and prepare or modify drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and TEP standards.
  • Prepare and develop detailed AutoCAD drawings from GIS and/or site survey.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings on collocation and raw land sites.
  • Prepare reports related to tower mappings and inspections.
  • Work with multiple jurisdictions to comply with permitting and zoning requirements.
  • Perform final check on multiple drawing types/carriers.
  • Perform inspections, tower mappings, and post-construction inspections on telecommunications towers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Preferred certification: Engineering Intern.
  • Strong technical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on different projects simultaneously.
  • Experience communicating directly with clients and providing services.
  • Ability to understand and apply budgeting principles throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Physical ability to climb telecommunication towers and work at heights in excess of 150 feet.

Working Environment

This role operates in a professional office and field environment, utilizing standard office equipment and specialized equipment for climbing telecommunication towers.
