Overview:

Position Summary:

The role involves overseeing personnel in various sectors including dishwashing, pre-loading, beverage services, and logistics. The supervisor is accountable for ensuring that all tasks are completed promptly to support catering operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all staff in the dish room and beverage processing areas.
  • Ensure adherence to quality production standards across all accounts.
  • Uphold company policies and maintain specification documents for airline clients, serving as a resource for these standards.
  • Compile management reports as needed (e.g., attendance, HAACCP, labor).
  • Oversee safety, quality, and compliance with customer specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Verify that all products are coded according to company procedures.
  • Conduct inventory checks to ensure proper usage and minimize waste.
  • Complete necessary requisitions to maintain adequate supplies.
  • Maintain daily logs and reports as required.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is serviced according to schedule.
  • Manage food costs and other controllable expenses.
  • Work with management to enhance unit performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions in conjunction with HR.
  • Balance workflow and assign responsibilities among staff on each shift.
  • Determine staffing needs based on various factors such as absenteeism and workload changes.
  • Ensure compliance with company wage and hour policies.
  • Train employees on efficient work practices to maximize productivity.
  • Monitor staffing schedules and daily manpower planning.
  • Focus on employee retention and reducing turnover rates.
  • Ensure compliance with all required training and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within a high-volume food production or catering environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership abilities, effective communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification is required.
  • Bi-lingual skills in English and another language are a plus.

Work Environment:

Normal operational environment with no travel required.
