SUMMARY:

Overseeing a team of dishwashers, this role is pivotal in managing dishwashing operations in Back of House (BOH) areas while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness in kitchens and catering events.

Responsibilities encompass supervisory duties, including staff training, inventory oversight, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensuring all dishwashing equipment is operational
  • Upholding cleanliness in kitchen and storage areas
  • Assisting with food delivery for events and managing kitchen recycling initiatives
  • Directing stewarding activities for optimal performance
  • Daily communication with the Chef and Operations Manager
  • Managing kitchen inventories and controlling operational expenses
  • Adhering to health codes and company policies
  • Performing other assigned responsibilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage
  • Experience in stewarding or kitchen operations preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Understanding of food preparation health regulations
  • Familiarity with sanitation practices and dishwashing procedures
  • Ability to train staff in stewarding functions
  • Food Handler's certification preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM JOB
FUNCTIONS:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Proficiency in English; Spanish language skills are advantageous.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math application skills.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to follow instructions and multitask with attention to detail.

MANUAL DEXTERITY:
Competence in using computers and operating office equipment.

PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION:
Effective communication and hearing capabilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requirements include lifting, pushing, bending, and multitasking.

SCHEDULING DEMANDS:
Availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS:
Exposure to a loud environment, hot/cold water, potential chemical exposure, and varying temperature conditions.
