Job Summary

Oak View Group is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Director to lead the development and implementation of marketing plans and budgets, as well as manage relationships with promoters and external partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and sales, with experience in the live event industry.

The Marketing Director will be responsible for creating and executing marketing campaigns to promote the Tyson Events Center, Orpheum Theatre, and Sioux City Convention Center. This includes developing and implementing marketing plans, managing event advertising budgets and promotions, and ensuring successful sales and group sales campaigns for events.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously. They will also have a strong understanding of marketing principles and practices, with experience in graphic design, web design, and social media marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing plans and budgets
  • Manage relationships with promoters and external partners
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns to promote the Tyson Events Center, Orpheum Theatre, and Sioux City Convention Center
  • Manage event advertising budgets and promotions
  • Ensure successful sales and group sales campaigns for events
  • Lead and manage a team of marketing and sales staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media partners and vendors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing and sales, preferably in the live event industry
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices
  • Experience in graphic design, web design, and social media marketing
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
