About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to lead our culinary team at Clearwater Pinnacle Peak. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of our culinary operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Manage, plan, develop, organize, schedule, evaluate, and direct the Culinary department to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Culinary Excellence: Supervise the production, presentation, and cost of food, and create a balanced rotating menu that meets the highest standards of quality and taste.
  • Customer Service: Serve as liaison between guests, residents, and Culinary staff, ensuring effective communication across all areas and resolving resident complaints regarding food quality and/or service.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure a sanitary work environment and comply with all health and safety codes, state licensing regulations, and policies and procedures regarding proper storage, handling, and serving of food.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and supervise department staff in accordance with all company policies, procedures, and core values.
  • Training and Development: Carry out required new hire training and ongoing skills training for associates and maintain appropriate documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or related education in Culinary Arts or Hospitality is preferred or combination of formal training from a related culinary or technical school and experience overseeing restaurant and dining operations.
  • Experience: Minimum eight to ten years of experience in food service and minimum five to seven years of supervisory experience to include hiring, training, and supervising staff and developing and managing a budget.
  • Certifications: Serve Safe certification preferred and First Aid Certification required.
  • Other: Ability, licensure, and willingness to drive the community vehicle as needed, background clearances as required by government regulations, and must meet health requirements, including TB.
