The Mexicano's Culinary Leadership Opportunity

The Sous Chef is a pivotal role in our kitchen, second only to the Executive Chef. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency in food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dishes that meet our quality standards
  • Ensure seamless kitchen operations, including inventory management and supply chain logistics
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Proven track record of managing kitchen staff and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and systems, including restaurant management software and POS
