Job Title: Client Services Coordinator I

At the Illinois Housing Development Authority, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Client Services Coordinator I to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating the loan closing process from initial financial closing through final construction completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage records and files related to the underwriting process, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Act as a liaison between Multifamily Financing and other Authority departments, facilitating communication and documentation.
  • Assemble and review documents for loan officers, attorneys, and other Authority staff, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with development teams, resolving questions and concerns related to application information, file maintenance, loan process, and closing process.
  • Assist developers and external team members in preparing required documents, such as owner sworn statements and source statements.
  • Review project file documentation and requirements with development officers and underwriters, ensuring completeness and adherence to conditions.
  • Prepare documentation for transfer of funds between the Authority and title companies, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Utilize functional knowledge of Excel to review spreadsheets from external partners and create simple spreadsheets with fundamental formulas.
Requirements:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required, with 1-2 years of related work experience desired.
  • Preference for a college degree in Finance, Urban Studies, Public Administration, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and external parties.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel required.
