Job Title: Business Office Manager

The Business Office Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of patient billing, cashier, and credit and collections of patient accounts. This position oversees a wide range of administrative, fiscal, and technical activities, ensuring seamless integration of department services. The Business Office Manager is responsible for managing staff, meeting fiscal requirements, and adhering to accrediting body guidelines and Federal and State regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality: Supports an environment conducive to the hospital's Mission, Vision, and Values, and adheres to Service Excellence Standards of Behavior.
  • People: Evaluates staff for competency, educates and evaluates new staff performance, and provides constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Financial: Remains knowledgeable about reimbursement, compliance, and billing guidelines, and makes recommendations for operating and capital budgets.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school with a B.S. in healthcare and/or accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in patient billing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Skills: Ability to work under pressure, excellent human relations and organizational skills, and supervisory experience.
Work Environment:

The Business Office Manager works in a well-lit, climate-controlled office setting, with occasional exposure to communicable diseases and unpleasant sights, odors, and materials.
