Key Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Lines Technical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the acquisition, maintenance, and retention of clients by efficiently managing all transactions related to client accounts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Commercial Lines Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Senior Technical Assistants in servicing assigned clients.
  • Facilitating the management of commercial accounts, including workflow handling, billing, rating, and follow-ups for policies, endorsements, requests, certificates of insurance, summaries of insurance, binders, and renewals.
  • Adhering to all established systems, procedures, and guidelines set forth by the Commercial Lines Department and the Agency.
  • Conducting research and providing responses to discrepancies in company/agency accounting.
  • Meeting individual quantitative and qualitative performance goals set by the Commercial Lines Department Manager and/or Agency Management.
  • Communicating effectively with CSRs, Producers, and the Commercial Lines Manager to clarify issues or address concerns with clients.
  • Providing backup support for Senior Technical Assistants, Senior Claims Specialists, and Administrative Assistants as needed.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of commercial lines workflows and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in an insurance agency or company.
  • State Property & Casualty License required or to be obtained within six months of employment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with TAM (The Agency Manager) is a definite advantage.
