As the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and coordinating all functions of the finance department.
  • Managing daily financial operations, including management reports and compliance reporting.
  • Supervising Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Flow, and Contract Administration.
  • Ensuring the training and development of finance personnel.
  • Strictly adhering to the financial processes of all entities to guarantee precise financial reporting and control.
  • Establishing and implementing accountability systems and internal controls to prevent inaccuracies in financial documentation. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Maintaining consistent and collaborative communication with the executive leadership to set priorities and ensure the strategic financial objectives are met.
  • Promoting adherence to our Safety for Life culture by demonstrating a strong commitment to safety; believing that the well-being of all employees is paramount. Communicating the Company’s Safety for Life Mission, Vision, and Values to colleagues and partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a controller role or similar position, with prior experience in the construction sector preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Sage 300 CRE or the ability to learn new software.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate effectively, inspire others, and uphold company values.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and perform effectively under pressure and deadlines.
  • Flexibility while ensuring reliability and consistency. Ability to collaborate with integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions and approach problem-solving collaboratively.
  • Proficient in data analysis, critical thinking, and problem resolution.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Adherence to high ethical standards and sound business practices, embodying the core values of "Innovation, Integrity, Professionalism" in all interactions.
