Job Description

Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a seasoned financial professional to lead and shape the accounting operations of a dynamic organization. If you have a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including the general ledger, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and present timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Manage internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during audits.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Compensation:

$55 to $65 an hour
