Your Responsibilities
As a key business leader, you will provide financial guidance and expertise to support all management levels in delivering top-tier hospitality services globally.
Collaborate with General Managers (GMs) to meet established business objectives. Oversee accounting and control functions at the property, ensuring timely reporting of operational results while maintaining the integrity of the management information system.
Key Duties Include:
- Supervising all accounting operations for your property.
- Preparing financial documents in accordance with company policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and the Uniform System of Accounts.
- Analyzing and interpreting financial outcomes to advise GMs and the Home Office team.
- Maintaining monthly balance sheet analysis with comprehensive supporting details and preparing accurate forecasts and cash flow statements as needed.
- Timely preparation of sales, use, and occupancy tax returns, along with any other necessary external reports.
- Ensuring effective treasury cash management and compliance with management agreements and legal documents.
- Maintaining the integrity and efficiency of computerized data processing functions.
- Compiling and submitting all financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other required information accurately and within specified timeframes, identifying variances, and making recommendations for enhancements.
- Reviewing forecasts and budgets prepared by management teams to ensure reasonable and achievable performance guidelines for owners, GMs, and the Home Office.
- Ensuring all legal, treasury, and tax documentation is properly maintained and secured, meeting all statutory and fiscal reporting requirements.
- Implementing adequate controls to protect the property’s assets against loss or misappropriation.
- Coaching department heads on their financial responsibilities and effective financial management techniques.
- Continuously monitoring economic, social, and governmental trends to keep management informed of any implications that may affect the hotel or restaurant's financial performance.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Studies is required; a Master's degree and/or CPA is advantageous.
- 2 to 3 years of experience at the Director level in hospitality finance is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Experience with PeopleSoft or similar accounting software, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong financial modeling, project management, and critical thinking skills, complemented by a robust work ethic.
