This position will be responsible for overseeing a team of outsourced accountants, managing third-party tax and audit activities, as well as handling certain in-house accounting responsibilities.
About NewCastle Management GroupNewCastle Management Group is a prominent real estate investment firm specializing in the development and acquisition of multifamily assets across the Eastern United States. Our focus is on building and acquiring Class A communities, typically consisting of 120 units or more, with project sizes ranging from $25 million to $100 million.
Our business model emphasizes ground-up development and value-add acquisitions in markets with high barriers to entry and strong economic fundamentals. We carefully select financing structures tailored to each deal, utilizing a mix of conventional bank loans, government-insured mortgage-backed securities, tax credit equity, and alternative capital solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Oversee bank account management and reconciliation.
- Ensure contract retention.
- Handle cash management effectively.
- Prepare monthly financial reports.
- Manage investor capital calls and distributions.
- Support budget planning and management activities.
- Administer federal, state, and local business registrations and reporting.
- Coordinate audit and tax filings with third-party CPA firms.
- Provide data reporting to support business decisions.
- Experience with RealPage accounting and QuickBooks.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in multifamily property management accounting or real estate is advantageous.
