Position Summary:
The Logistics and Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the flow of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control. This position involves receiving, processing, and dispatching various materials while maintaining high standards of quality and organization.
Primary Responsibilities:

- Examine and confirm incoming shipments against purchase orders or other relevant documents, noting any discrepancies and rejecting damaged items.
- Facilitate the distribution and shipping processes for products.
- Conduct necessary checks against documentation, unpack items, and allocate them to designated storage locations.
- Utilize forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment to efficiently load, unload, transport, and store materials.
- Input inventory data into the MRP system by item and location.
- Accurately complete all required quality assurance documentation.
- Ensure proper placement and labeling of all materials within the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Consolidate similar items on pallets to optimize storage space.
- Group like items within the warehouse for improved accessibility.
- Protect all products from contamination and damage.
- Process inventory requests from various departments including labs and sales.
- Verify that physical counts match the inventory records in the system.
- Collaborate with order pickers in other departments to ensure accurate returns of items to their proper locations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma is preferred.
- Forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to comprehend verbal instructions and read/write in English (Spanish is an advantage).
- Good hand-eye coordination is essential.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
Language Proficiency:
- English is required; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves walking and standing for extended periods, with occasional requirements to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse and production area, as well as a temperature-controlled office setting.
