Job Title: Logistics and Transportation Analyst

Motrex is seeking a skilled logistics and transportation professional to support the planning and execution of its inbound, intercompany, international, and customer freight activity. This role will drive value by optimizing transportation and distribution costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) and associated routing guide to balance cost and service.
  • Coordinate and develop international platforms.
  • Actively search for ways to decrease transportation costs through consolidation, equipment utilization, and mode optimization.
  • Apply advanced analytics to support recommendations on efficiency and/or corrective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Supplier/Vendor Management, DC Operations, and carriers to ensure effective communication throughout the delivery cycle.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis around service model strategy and/or network design as needed.
  • Provide root cause analysis on vital metrics (KPI) trends in areas such as service and cost.
  • Lead transportation projects that drive value for the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Logistics and Transportation, Supply Chain, etc.) from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • 5-7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must have TMS experience (BluJay/E2Open preferred).
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teams inside and outside of transportation.
  • Takes initiative and has an innovative approach to operational management.
  • Ability to lead and sell change within an organization.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Knowledge of JDE (Oracle) desired.
