Job Summary

AEG Worldwide Inc is seeking an experienced Operations Manager, Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiencies across our venues, including event conversions, general facility operations, rental inventory, shipping/receiving, housekeeping, and general facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Conversion and Housekeeping Oversight Functions:
    • Serve as primary contact for event conversion.
    • Oversee and assure cleanliness of all areas and equipment.
    • Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct all activities and personnel engaged in day-to-day operations.
    • Review event notes and take a leadership role in the setup and breakdown of chairs, tables, pipe and drape, rubber matting and carpets, giveaways, etc.
    • Work with the Events department in setting up and converting other event spaces as necessary from event to event.
  • Capital Planning and Sourcing Functions:
    • Work with the Director to research and engage new vendors who bring additional value while cutting costs.
    • Work with the Director on establishing preventative maintenance plans on all equipment and physical facilities.
    • Work with the Director on evaluating current practices, making recommendations for changes in operations to improve efficiency.
    • Implement new plans/programs as assigned by the Director.
  • Billing and Payroll Functions:
    • Responsible for event billing summary for all rental items.
    • Oversee scheduling of part-time and full-time operations staff.
    • Oversee staff billing for events and daily operations.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of related work experience in an operations role.
  • Ability to work independently to complete work assignments, as well as in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of functions, operations, and equipment of a multi-purpose sports facility.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and all applicable safety standards for public facilities.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise the operational activities with FT managers and PT maintenance staff.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, and the public.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and ability to learn all required systems.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.
  • Ability to effectively supervise staff.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
