Commercial Lending Operations Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Commercial Loan Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering administrative and member service support to Commercial Relationship Managers, catering to both current and potential members. This position involves the meticulous preparation and review of commercial loan documentation, overseeing the disbursement of loan proceeds, and undertaking various assigned responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional member service solutions, acting as a liaison among departments to address member needs.
  • Assist colleagues with member inquiries or issues, ensuring prompt and courteous responses to customer questions.
  • Facilitate wire transfers, conduct account reviews, and manage general account maintenance.
  • Request appraisals, environmental assessments, credit checks, flood certificates, and title reports as necessary.
  • Prepare and process documentation for new, renewed, and modified commercial and real estate loans.
  • Coordinate with loan servicing for funding, ensuring all wires, fees, and payments are processed accurately.
  • Review, create, file, and terminate UCC-1 and UCC-3 financing statements, following up to ensure proper lien recordings and continuations.
  • Conduct post-closing reviews and manage file duties, including tracking, follow-up on exceptions, and maintaining loan files with document imaging.
  • Assist in processing renewals at least 60 days prior to maturity, requesting necessary financial statements and documentation from borrowers.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to NWFCU policies and procedures, as well as regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial or SBA lending.
  • Residence in Florida or Virginia is required.
  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation processes.
  • Experience with LaserPro or similar software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in tracking numerical data and detailed organizational information.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with strong administrative and organizational skills, eager to learn.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
