Position Summary

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

This role serves as the primary contact within the branch for sales, service, and referral opportunities, contributing to the overall objectives of the branch while fostering enduring relationships with clients. This position supports current clients and assists them with their transactions. As a member of a collaborative team, Client Relationship Specialists are essential in upholding our commitment to the highest ethical standards and maintaining the trust of our clients and communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Establishes new client relationships and/or retains and expands existing ones by proactively identifying client opportunities and utilizing cross-selling techniques to meet personal and branch objectives;
  • Engages in creating a welcoming environment, assisting or directing clients to the appropriate team member based on their identified needs, and promoting product utilization when necessary;
  • Takes responsibility for the client experience, including account openings, cross-selling additional products, and resolving issues as needed;
  • Fosters new client relationships through regular interactions, proactively reaching out to clients to ensure satisfaction;
  • Educates clients on utilizing available access channels effectively;
  • Actively participates in business development initiatives (e.g., outreach calls, community events, meetings with local enterprises) to enhance visibility in the community and drive business to the branch;
  • Assists in resolving challenging client situations effectively while delivering friendly service and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction;
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to processing retail and commercial transactions, ATM/ITM settlement, night depository, vault cash, safe deposit, opening/closing procedures, cash ordering, and cash shipment preparation;
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Customer Privacy, and Information Security;
  • Maintains proficiency in all bank products and services across all delivery channels, including deposit products, electronic services, and loan products;
  • Exhibits trustworthiness, professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in dealings with both internal and external clients;
  • Adheres to Southern Bank's communication standards, fostering an environment conducive to open dialogue and addressing concerns transparently;
  • Maintains regular attendance and the ability to work a schedule that may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays;
  • May be required to assist at various branches within Southern Bank's network;
  • Completes and performs any other assigned duties.
