Position Summary

The role of a Sales Associate involves welcoming and thanking every customer who enters and exits the store. Sales Associates are expected to possess comprehensive knowledge of all product categories. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining the store's cleanliness and ensuring that all merchandise is displayed appropriately. Sales staff will assist management in executing price adjustments, organizing displays, and adhering to visual merchandising standards to maintain a tidy store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embrace and promote the "Cavender's Culture" while driving our Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Deliver friendly and professional customer service, utilizing effective selling techniques.
  • Steer clear of aggressive sales tactics.
  • Optimize sales opportunities with each customer interaction.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in the western wear market.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Be well-versed in company policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on promotional offers (products/prices/etc.).
  • Assist in stocking merchandise and tidying the store as necessary.
  • Arrive at work punctually and well-groomed.
  • Maintain a security-conscious mindset at all times.
  • Ensure all products are accurately scanned and displayed neatly in their designated areas, particularly in the boot department.
  • Assist customers with product exchanges.
  • Provide informed responses to customer inquiries regarding product fit, promotions, pricing, quality, and inventory.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to understand actions required to achieve company goals (e.g., ADS / UPT's / contests).
Qualifications
  • Ability to lift or lower objects regularly during shifts.
  • Capability to comprehend basic instructions.
  • Ability to interpret various documents.
  • Skill in applying abstract principles to complex tasks.
  • Understanding of word meanings and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding English.
  • Ability to remain alert during assigned work hours.
