Position Overview

The Accelerator Group encompasses a wide array of emerging businesses and rapidly expanding sectors such as education, retail, fashion, and consumer packaged goods (CPG). The Retail Media Strategy Lead will oversee all facets of retail media strategy and purchasing for the Accelerator Group at Canvas Construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in high-level participation for retail media in all strategic media planning, execution, and evaluation activities.
  • Direct and mentor a team of both direct and indirect reports, serving as a valuable resource for guidance and support.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all campaign-related and administrative duties by the team.
  • Facilitate client discussions regarding campaign enhancements, testing, adjustments, new offerings, and other campaign-related initiatives.
  • Act as an internal agency resource, collaborating with other departments to enhance understanding of retail media solutions.
  • Provide strategic insights during the planning phases of retail media campaigns to achieve targeted business objectives based on a thorough understanding of the client’s brand and category.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and communicate relevant updates to the immediate team and the broader Biddable team, as well as to clients.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of client businesses and connect this knowledge to the growth of the retail media practice.
  • Present campaign performance metrics to key stakeholders in a clear, concise, and comprehensible manner.
  • Manage and drive strategy development and innovation across various accounts and markets utilizing diverse research and analytical tools.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated individual with a proven track record of identifying opportunities and driving projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with adaptability.
  • Proficient in building and sustaining robust internal and external relationships.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly and actionably to both internal and client stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player who can effectively balance independent work within a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in managing small teams and fostering individual talent development.
  • Analytical thinker comfortable with data interpretation and deriving actionable insights.

Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations in previous roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with retail media platforms, including but not limited to Instacart, Walmart Connect, and Roundel (Target).
  • At least 2 years of experience managing teams of 2 or more.
  • Experience overseeing substantial media budgets and meeting monthly expenditure and performance targets.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills in managing advertising technology platforms and compiling media reports.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external business partners.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with ad serving and bid management platforms (e.g., Skai, Criteo, Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, Marin, Sprinklr, 4C, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or advertising is preferred.
