Position Overview

The Accelerator Group encompasses a wide range of emerging businesses and rapidly expanding sectors such as education, retail, fashion, and consumer packaged goods (CPG). The Retail Media Strategy Lead will oversee all facets of retail media planning and execution for the Accelerator Group at Canvas Construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in high-level strategic media planning, execution, and evaluation for retail media initiatives.
  • Direct and mentor a team of both direct and indirect reports, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure that all campaign-related and administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time by the team.
  • Facilitate client discussions regarding campaign enhancements, testing, adjustments, and new initiatives.
  • Serve as an internal resource and collaborate with other departments to enhance understanding of retail media services.
  • Offer strategic insights during the planning stages of retail media campaigns to meet specific business objectives based on client brand and category knowledge.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and communicate relevant updates to the team and the broader Biddable team, as well as clients.
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of client businesses, linking this knowledge to the growth of the retail media practice.
  • Present campaign performance metrics to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Drive strategy development and innovation across various accounts and markets utilizing diverse research and analytical tools.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated individual with a proven track record of identifying opportunities and executing projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities with adaptability.
  • Capable of building and nurturing robust internal and external relationships.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and actionable to both internal teams and clients.
  • A collaborative team player who can effectively balance independent work within a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in managing small teams and fostering individual talent development.
  • Analytical thinker comfortable with data interpretation and deriving actionable insights.

Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations in previous roles.
  • 3+ years of experience with retail media platforms, including but not limited to Instacart, Walmart Connect, and Roundel (Target).
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams of 2 or more.
  • Experience managing substantial media budgets and achieving monthly performance targets.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and clients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills in managing advertising technology platforms and compiling media reports.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Professional demeanor in interactions with internal and external business partners.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with ad serving and bid management platforms (e.g., Skai, Criteo, Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, Marin, Sprinklr, 4C, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or advertising is preferred.
