Job Overview

ADAPT Community Network seeks a seasoned professional to lead its Facilities Management and Building Services departments. As the Regional Facilities Executive, you will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of agency facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing exceptional service to employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate the work of management staff, maintenance personnel, and contractors to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks.
  • Develop and implement division goals, objectives, and policies, ensuring alignment with the agency's mission and strategic plan.
  • Oversee the bidding process for construction work, ensuring contractors adhere to contract terms and agency regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of agency facilities to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness, documenting findings in the Facility Management System.
  • Develop and manage the division budget, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with agency financial policies.
  • Prepare and present division projections, statistics, and reports to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Formulate and recommend long-range plans for services offered by the division, ensuring alignment with the agency's strategic plan.
  • Develop and implement a Quality Assurance plan for the division, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct periodic area assessments, observations of practices, materials, equipment, and environment, providing staff with safety training and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Serve as a standing member of agency-wide committees, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the field, attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as facilities management, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible managerial experience in facilities management, with a focus on leadership, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Valid NY State Driver's License, maintained in good standing.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, coworkers, other departments, outside contacts, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks, with a focus on prioritization and time management.
  • Knowledge of HVAC Mechanical Systems, NYS Building Codes, and OPWDD and SED regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Strong analytical ability, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Willingness to travel among agency sites, with a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, with a focus on protecting sensitive information and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and appropriate software, including email systems.
