Your Contributions to Altos

We are in search of a Manager/Senior Manager of Accounting to enhance our accounting department. This role will report to the Director of Accounting Operations and will play a crucial part in overseeing the monthly closing activities, as well as being heavily involved in financial reporting, system enhancements, the establishment and maintenance of accounting policies, and the preparation of financial statements. The position will supervise the accounts payable team and a staff accountant.

This dynamic role will assist the Accounting Team in developing and implementing scalable processes to support our expanding organization. It is a highly visible position with interaction across all functional areas.
  • Manage the general accounting operations, including the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation reviews.
  • Oversee accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Administer additional accounting activities, including cash management, investments, and accrued liabilities, to guarantee precise transaction processing.
  • Review all entries related to accruals, payables, and banking/investment transactions to ensure proper recording in the general ledger.
  • Supervise Concur Time & Expense operations and the Corporate Credit Card Program.
  • Support process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Engage in ERP enhancements (NetSuite).
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and variance analyses, including monthly trends and budget comparisons.
  • Facilitate the annual audit and quarterly reviews by preparing audit schedules and providing support to external auditors.
  • Assist in compiling schedules requested by external tax advisors for corporate income tax returns and tax provision calculations.
Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong understanding of financial principles, system processes, internal controls, and US GAAP.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and supervising an accounts payable team.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) and proficiency in NetSuite.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead a team.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification.
  • Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Background in a startup environment.
The salary range for this position is as follows:
  • Manager, Accounting: $164,050 - $221,950
  • Senior Manager, Accounting: $200,600 - $271,400
Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
