Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in a customer support environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Friendly demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Completion of Covid vaccinations and flu shot
  • Ability to pass federal and state background checks and drug screenings
  • High School Diploma or GED

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with patients and healthcare providers in a professional and timely manner, serving as the initial point of contact.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while scheduling patient appointments in accordance with clinic protocols.
  • Handle incoming calls with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Coordinate new, returning, and referral appointments within the designated group or transfer to appropriate agents as needed.
  • Ensure accurate scheduling of patient appointments based on physician guidelines and templates using relevant technologies.
  • Regularly review scheduling documents to maintain compliance with operational standards.
  • Identify suitable physicians for non-directed referrals.
  • Manage rescheduling of appointments as necessary.
  • Address non-clinical patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate clinical staff.
  • Set clear expectations for patients regarding their visits to ensure a positive experience.
  • Contact patients to reschedule appointments in the event of cancellations.
  • Utilize various systems for information retrieval and management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Meet productivity and quality metrics established by the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
