Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls promptly, ensuring that no call exceeds three rings.
  • Demonstrate empathy and active listening skills while engaging with callers, maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor.
  • Process credit card payments accurately, ensuring that payment receipts are documented and reconciled.
  • Maintain detailed records of all communications in the Accounts Receivable system, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Provide requested summaries or itemized statements to patients or insurance representatives.
  • Manage assigned accounts efficiently while meeting daily productivity targets.
  • Participate in training sessions and seminars as required.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service, patient registration, billing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to analyze and discuss HCFA billing with insurance or government agencies.
  • Understanding of general insurance requirements.
  • Experience with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and contractual adjustments.
  • Proficient in using electronic filing systems and general computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism.
  • Capability to meet established productivity standards.
