Position Overview:
The Department of Pathology at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) is seeking to enhance its dynamic immunology research team by inviting applications for faculty positions. We welcome applications from both physician-scientists and PhD scientists who have established research programs in various domains of immunology.

Research Focus Areas:
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in:
- Lymphocyte biology
- Cancer immunology
- Immunotherapy
- Autoimmune and inflammatory disorders
- Immunity to infections
- Epigenetic regulation of immune responses
- Leukocyte function
and other related fields of innate and adaptive immunity and host defense.

Support and Opportunities:
Successful candidates will benefit from substantial start-up packages and will have the chance to engage in the Immunology Training Program, a collaborative initiative within the Department of Pathology. Our department also collaborates with the Center for Global Health and Diseases (CGHD), supporting research that spans from fundamental immunology to international clinical trials and NIH training grants in global health and infectious diseases.

Institutional Strengths:
CWRU is home to several renowned research centers, including the Center for AIDS Research, the Tuberculosis Research Unit, and the Division of Infectious Diseases and HIV Medicine. The Department of Pathology consistently ranks among the top institutions for NIH funding, with annual research funding in immunology and infectious diseases exceeding $100 million.

Candidate Qualifications:
Applicants for the Assistant Professor level should demonstrate a strong track record of success and potential for securing external funding. Candidates for the Associate or Full Professor levels should possess active research programs and established national or international reputations. Additionally, these candidates should exhibit effective mentorship and leadership skills.
