OVERVIEW OF RESEARCH RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a dedicated and proficient researcher with a strong background in immunology, particularly in the areas of flow cytometry and in vitro co-culture techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Single cell RNA sequencing
  • Cell isolation and cytokine analysis
  • Utilization of mouse models

Experience in microbiology or the exploration of the microbiome's role in human diseases will be considered advantageous.

RESEARCH PROJECTS

The current research initiatives focus on employing systems immunology methodologies to investigate innate immunity and the microbiome's impact on infections and diseases, with a particular emphasis on women's health. Key research topics include:

  • Infertility
  • Cervical cancer
  • Transgender health

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

The successful candidate will be expected to apply various systems immunology techniques, including:

  • Flow cytometry
  • Cell culture and bacterial culture
  • Single cell RNA sequencing
  • Cytokine analysis
  • Data analysis

In this role, the researcher will present findings at departmental seminars and scientific conferences, contribute to manuscript preparation, and assist in generating preliminary data for grant applications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience in supervising laboratory technicians, visiting scholars, and student trainees in experimental design and data analysis will be viewed favorably.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A Ph.D. in Immunology or a related field is required. A background in systems immunology is highly desirable. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills and demonstrate effective oral and written communication abilities.
