RESEARCH AND SCIENTIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled researcher specializing in immunology, particularly with a strong background in flow cytometry and in vitro co-culture techniques. The ideal candidate will possess experience in single-cell RNA sequencing, cell isolation, cytokine analysis, and mouse model experimentation. Familiarity with microbiology or microbiome studies in relation to human diseases will be considered an advantage.

The current research initiatives focus on employing systems immunology methodologies to investigate innate immunity and the microbiome's role in infection and disease, with an emphasis on women's health issues. Ongoing projects encompass topics such as infertility, cervical cancer, and transgender health.

The successful candidate will be expected to utilize advanced systems immunology techniques, including but not limited to:

  • Flow cytometry
  • Cell culture
  • Bacterial culture
  • Single-cell RNA sequencing
  • Cytokine analysis
  • Data analysis

As a research associate, responsibilities will include presenting findings at departmental seminars and scientific conferences, preparing manuscripts for publication, and contributing preliminary data for grant applications. Additional managerial experience will be viewed favorably.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • High parameter flow cytometry expertise is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in cell isolation and culture techniques is highly desirable.
  • Experience with single-cell RNA sequencing is advantageous.
  • Background in microbiology or microbiome research is preferred but not mandatory.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision of laboratory technicians, visiting scholars, and student trainees in experimental design and data analysis may be required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A Ph.D. in Immunology or a related field is required. A background in systems immunology is highly preferred. Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills are essential.
