We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and a PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant field.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute independent research projects with the goal of generating high-quality data, analyzing and interpreting results, and preparing manuscripts for publication in top-tier journals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects, including grant writing, progress reports, and papers.
- Collaborate with other team members to advance research goals and objectives.
- Participate in lab management, protocol development and maintenance, and mentoring of junior trainees.
- PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in a research or academic setting, with a strong background in molecular, cellular, or tissue engineering.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively with other team members.
- Strong research expertise in immunology, immune-oncology, or immune-engineering, as well as culture of stem cells or organoids.
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods, with the ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Strong training background in biomedical engineering, microfabrication, bioprinting, lab-on-a-chip, and microfluidics.
- Experience with scientific writing and publication in top-tier journals.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced research environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. The position will be appointed through the Lerner Research Institute, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of research projects.
