POSITION SUMMARY:


Under the guidance of the Property Manager, the Custodial Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the cleaning staff and ensuring the overall hygiene of the facility.

The role requires maintaining a clean, sanitary, and inviting atmosphere for all members.


Conduct inspections to guarantee a high standard of cleanliness, consistently upholding a tidy, sanitary, and appealing environment, which includes tasks such as mopping, dusting, laundry, and waste disposal.

Additional responsibilities may include window cleaning, event setup, pressure washing, snow removal, grounds maintenance, and other related duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Execute supervisory and management tasks as directed by the Property Manager to fulfill the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Oversee, train, assess, and schedule cleaning personnel to ensure all tasks are performed with the utmost quality and cleanliness.
  • Timely completion of payroll documentation and daily reports as required.
  • Procure cleaning supplies and equipment at competitive prices while forecasting material needs for task completion.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as necessary to maintain a superior level of cleanliness and equipment functionality that exceeds member expectations.
  • Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly, and that all equipment is utilized, cleaned, and stored appropriately.
  • Carry out janitorial duties including, but not limited to, wet and dry mopping, dusting, waste disposal, recycling, window cleaning, event setup, pool maintenance, pressure washing, painting, vacuuming, lawn care, snow shoveling, and general cleaning as needed.
  • Document all required repairs, execute repairs as instructed, report all issues to the supervisor, and follow up with staff.
  • Ensure the security of the facility during shifts and report any incidents or hazardous conditions to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including Child Abuse Prevention Policies.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with other staff, members, and guests.
  • Safely operate both motorized and non-motorized cleaning equipment.
  • Manage laundry (towels) to ensure a consistent supply for members.
  • Open and close the facility, including arming and disarming the alarm system.
  • May be responsible for setting up furniture for events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Not previously accused or convicted of any child abuse, including but not limited to sexual abuse.
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in janitorial or facility maintenance.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Capability to supervise staff and assist with scheduling.
  • Basic understanding of the maintenance, care, and safe operation of motorized cleaning equipment.
  • Familiarity with cleaning compounds, chemicals, and their safe and efficient use.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


Must possess sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions and supervise activities in various indoor and outdoor settings. Responsibilities include walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time. The ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations is essential.
