We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Senior Living Communities. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the culinary team to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high resident satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 2-year culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of food preparation experience in a high-volume dining services venue, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Possess and maintain Safe Serve certification.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions in a recipe.
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a senior living environment.
  • Knowledge of special diets and menu planning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
