Job Summary

As a key member of our culinary team, the Pastry Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pastry kitchen. This includes managing a team of skilled pastry chefs, ensuring the highest quality of food products, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of pastry chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes to enhance the culinary experience for our guests.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food products meet our high standards.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef to plan and execute special events and banquets.
  • Train and develop pastry chefs to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of food inventory, supplies, and labor costs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in the culinary industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in a pastry kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
