Job Summary

The Credit Clerk will play a vital role in the Credit department, responsible for setting up customer accounts, including taking payments, data changes, answering incoming calls, and supporting the Credit Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately set up new accounts
  • Answer incoming calls and handle payments and questions
  • Contact customers via email and phone calls to collect on delinquent accounts
  • Upload tax certifications to accounts
  • Process data changes and maintain account information
  • Receive payments
  • Process revised invoices
  • Respond to emails regarding customer applications, copy of invoices, and general inquiries
  • Provide credit references
  • Provide proformas to customers
  • Release orders from the assigned queue
  • Interface with other departments to ensure excellent customer service
  • Perform other assigned duties and tasks necessary to support the Credit Department as a whole
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service and collections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow effectively
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards working within constantly changing priorities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
