The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including market location and may differ depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

THE PROCUREMENT TEAM
Cupertino Electric's Procurement Team oversees all equipment and materials acquisitions for both project sites and corporate expenditures. This includes evaluating vendors and establishing and nurturing relationships with both new and existing suppliers.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Scope:
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to utilize resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends modifications to policies and establishes procedures that impact immediate organization(s).

Complexity:

Engages with issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data necessitates evaluation of various factors, including an understanding of current business trends.

Adheres to processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as an advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical challenges. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may hold budget responsibilities.

Discretion:

Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will increase costs and may affect the short-term objectives of the organization.


Interaction:

Frequently collaborates with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, typically involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the organization.

Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.

Supervision:

Manages, possibly through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with accountability for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.

In some cases, this manager may oversee a functional area without having any subordinate employees.


We are in search of a Procurement Operations Leader who will be responsible for managing the Procure to Pay purchasing activities, for both direct and indirect categories, in support of operations and corporate services.

This encompasses the development and enhancement of purchasing procedures, policies, activities, and methodologies, as well as reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).

The ideal candidate excels at communicating with vendors and internal business partners.

You are a supply chain and procurement expert with a natural ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering mutually beneficial relationships.

You possess a commercial mindset and are capable of negotiating effectively.

As a people-oriented professional, you maintain a safety-first attitude and have experience delivering a high level of customer service to both internal and external partners.

You have experience coordinating numerous processes and projects and have a background in managing a combination of direct and indirect reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications, is qualifying.


Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:
None required. CPM preferred.

Experience:

Typically requires a combination of 8 years of related experience, knowledge of electrical materials used in construction, and experience working with an electrical contractor or electrical distributor and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience and 2 years of experience managing professional staff.

Relevant experience from other related industries may be considered.
