We are currently in search of a seasoned Operations Manager to join our team. Position Summary

The Operations Manager will be accountable for achieving financial objectives, enforcing safety regulations, and ensuring optimal working conditions for all employees. This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively communicate GAT's core values and mission across all organizational levels. The successful candidate will oversee a 24-hour operation, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety meetings for all staff to promote a culture of safety.
  • Manage operational activities and oversee multiple carrier contracts effectively.
  • Perform flight and station audits, as well as assessments of at-risk behaviors.
  • Engage in monthly safety conference calls to discuss safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with customers to assess manpower needs for various operational scenarios.
  • Oversee recruitment and staffing efforts to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Investigate incidents involving aircraft damage or employee injuries and implement corrective measures.
  • Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage procurement of operational supplies to maintain service standards.
  • Review payroll and operational reports to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with team leaders and conduct daily briefings as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with uniform and appearance standards among staff.
  • Analyze operational reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Address service failures and implement strategies to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Oversee the execution of operational plans, including safety and winter operations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for supervisory staff and liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Attend local meetings to discuss operational concerns and safety issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the airline industry.
  • Proven experience in managing teams with financial accountability.
  • Strong executive presence and familiarity with corporate environments.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer relationships effectively.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficient analytical skills to assess operational performance.
  • Self-motivated and proactive leadership qualities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to adapt schedule to maintain visibility with team members and clients.
