About The Position:

We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to undertake a variety of administrative, digital, research, and writing responsibilities to support our audience development and demand generation initiatives.

This role will provide exposure to all facets of our virtual event production and promotional activities, including email marketing, outreach to key stakeholders, project research, and collaboration with our partners. You will benefit from close mentorship and professional development from our audience and client support leaders, as well as the company's founders.

To excel in this position, you should possess strong organizational skills, effective time management abilities, and the capacity to work independently. A genuine interest in contributing to the marketing efforts of a nationally recognized news and events brand is essential.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a 4-year college/university degree with a solid academic record.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with business software, including MS Office and Google Workspace.
  • Proficient writing skills in a business context.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • This is a full-time salaried position with a starting salary of $50,000 per year, offering opportunities for advancement and salary increases.
  • This position is fully remote, with opportunities for social interaction with the predominantly Brooklyn-based staff for those in the area.
