About The Position:

We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to undertake a variety of administrative, digital, research, and writing responsibilities to support our audience development and demand generation efforts.

This role will provide exposure to all facets of our virtual event production and promotional activities, including email marketing, outreach to key stakeholders, project research, and coordination with our partners. You will have the chance to receive mentorship and professional development from our audience and client support leaders as well as the company's founders.

To excel in this position, you should possess strong organizational skills, effective time management abilities, and the capacity to work independently. A genuine interest in contributing to the marketing initiatives of a nationally recognized news and events organization is essential.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a 4-year college/university degree with a solid academic record.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant role.
  • Familiarity with business software such as MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in business writing.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • This is a full-time salaried position with a starting salary of $50,000 per year, along with opportunities for advancement and salary increases.
  • This position is fully remote, with opportunities for social interaction with the predominantly Brooklyn-based team for those in the area.
