About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Relations Manager to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our Community Relations department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing community outreach programs that align with our company's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Partnerships: Identify and establish effective working relationships with community leaders, elected officials, and community representatives to develop new community relations and outreach opportunities.
  • Outreach Programs: Support the implementation of outreach programs that provide a positive impact in the community, including but not limited to, community events, donations, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Special Projects: Assist the Senior Director of Community Relations with special projects, including but not limited to, key initiatives assigned through the company's foundation and other properties.
  • Program Management: Collaboratively maintain and grow the company's community relations programs, including the 50/50 Raffle program.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Work closely with our Partnerships team to better align sponsored programs with core community pillars, including new sponsor collaborations.
  • Communication and Reporting: Assist on community newsletters, internally and externally, and manage recording and tracking of all community events and donations.
  • Internal Donations and Ticket Process: Manage internal donations requests and ticket process for non-profits and community groups.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Brand Marketing, Creative, and Communications teams on cross-promotion of community events to support fan engagement goals and to ensure production of marketing materials and timely postings on internal and external websites, intranet, and social media platforms.
  • Strategic Community Engagement: Provide collaborative team support in advancing strategic community engagement goals aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values.
  • Employee Engagement and Volunteer Opportunities: Support employee engagement and volunteer opportunities, including community service and philanthropic initiatives for company employees.
  • Program Administration: Support administration of all plans and executions for community relations programs, initiatives, and special events.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years experience in Community Relations or related fields.

Work Environment

Works primarily in an office environment but will be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. Will be required to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area to attend community events, basketball clinics, etc.
