Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and mentor accounting staff
  • Participate in the recruitment of new team members
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team personnel
  • Review and validate transaction work completed by staff
  • Manage Accounts Payable processes to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing
  • Collaborate with client services to address vendor billing and open Purchase Orders
  • Resolve client and vendor issues in partnership with client services
  • Ensure all vendor accounts are reconciled and up-to-date
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring timely application of client payments
  • Conduct research on Accounts Receivable aging
  • Lead communication and resolution of collections issues as needed
  • Provide requested reporting for clients
  • Assist in onboarding new clients with client services and sales
  • Prepare and review monthly accruals
  • Ensure accurate closure of client accounts and margins
  • Analyze financial and operational reports, preparing management reports to clarify variances
  • Develop and manage financial and operational reports to meet departmental standards
  • Participate in financial presentations as required
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Review financial processes and internal controls, recommending improvements
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP in all accounting practices
  • Adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley controls within the department
  • Identify and suggest process enhancements to improve operational margins
  • Engage in technology upgrades and implementations as necessary
  • Communicate effectively and professionally across various platforms
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field, with 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Proven leadership and staff supervision experience
  • Familiarity with accounting systems, databases, and reporting tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Adaptable, with strong critical thinking skills and a willingness to learn
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience collaborating in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
