About the Role

Myriad Genetics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling our molecular diagnostic tests to obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare providers in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell the value of our molecular diagnostic tests to healthcare providers
  • Provide in-service training to office staff
  • Work with local phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition
  • Deliver local talks and arrange peer-to-peer programs to groups interested in learning more
  • Coordinate with local health plans relevant to these practices
  • Meet expense budget and administrative requirements
  • Utilize Territory Planning Tools for strategy and planning, including target accounts, frequency of calls, etc.
  • Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging, and strategic/tactical information
  • Attend regional meetings and Women's Health conferences as planned
Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree required, ideally in a related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare selling arena, specifically in women's health bio-pharma, molecular diagnostics, or capital equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Documented successful track record in sales, with a history of being a top-level performer in prior roles
  • Proven ability to manage increasing responsibility and sustain growth
  • In-depth product knowledge and knowledge of disease states in the current field of expertise
  • Ability to travel and do overnights as needed
  • Models the consultative sales approach, recognized by others for excellent selling and presentation skills
  • Effective at overcoming obstacles and challenges using problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of coverage and reimbursement issues
  • Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information
  • Demonstrates values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct
  • Ability to resist pressure to compromise corporate values despite pressure to make sales
  • Uses discretion and professionalism when handling patient and physician information and documentation
  • Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated
  • Systems and Software - proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Ability to travel and do overnights as needed
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets safe and satisfactory criteria per Myriad's motor vehicle driving record policy
