Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.

Program Management Lead - Global Infectious Diseases

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Management Lead to oversee a collection of related/integrated projects that together support a long-term research initiative focused on Global Infectious Diseases. This position will play a crucial role in guiding one or more project coordinators, technical staff, and cross-functional teams to ensure they are effectively working towards the program's stated objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between internal stakeholders (e.g., Principal Investigators, Program Sponsors, organizational leadership) and external partners.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with all parties involved to foster collaboration and address shared interests.
  • Track and report on project progress and outcomes, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with overall program goals.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, proactively developing solutions to ensure successful project completion.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and grant applications, leveraging your expertise in infectious disease research and program management.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in program management within the field of infectious diseases research. A Master's degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred. Proven experience leading complex projects, managing budgets, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders is essential.
