Position: Small Satellite Program Manager

Location: Bethesda, Maryland

This role focuses on enhancing global broadband connectivity through the utilization of satellite technology, ensuring high capacity, security, resilience, and affordability while achieving ultra-low latency and fiber-like speeds.

The Small Satellite Program Manager will oversee the user terminal program, collaborating with external technology partners to deliver innovative user terminal solutions tailored for diverse market segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and execute multiple vendor programs, managing aspects such as contracts, work breakdown structures, executive reporting, requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Oversee user terminal programs, including the management of flat panel antenna projects.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and project success.
  • Engage with engineering, legal, and contracts teams to liaise with selected vendors.
  • Facilitate vendor development by preparing program inputs, addressing challenges, and formulating actionable plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on communication or satellite terminal technologies.
  • Experience in the satellite communications sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera Cloud, or Jira.
  • Familiarity with modem, RF, electronics, and antenna technologies.
  • Experience working with external vendors, including design and manufacturing partners.
  • PMP Certification is a beneficial asset.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Manage supplier and contractor relationships during project execution.

Work Environment:

  • This position offers a flexible work arrangement, with options for full-time office or a hybrid model.
  • Occasional travel may be required, including international trips.

Compensation:

Competitive salary range of $125K to $150K, commensurate with experience, along with excellent benefits and bonus opportunities.
