Job Title: National Account Manager

At Airgas, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to join our team. As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sales process and driving profitable sales growth within an assigned sales territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales plans to service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts.
  • Qualify and pursue sales leads, cultivating customer relationships by developing a deep knowledge of the customer's business.
  • Engage customers by linking their business priorities to the Airgas value proposition, preparing sales proposals, and quoting pricing.
  • Monitor industry insights, current Airgas product mixes, and competition, gathering relevant marketplace intelligence.
  • Partner with internal resources to accomplish growth objectives and maintain clear communication with internal departments.
  • Manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to minimize Airgas working capital investment and financial risk.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior outside business-to-business sales experience, including solution-selling concepts and customer management.
  • Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas/welding supply sales a plus.
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation and ability to prioritize targeting customers delivering the highest value to Airgas.
  • Proven success using a consultative sales approach and deep knowledge of customer's business.
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work and succeed independently, with a sense of urgency.
