Key Responsibilities:The Director of Operations plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of Mount Pleasant Community Church by overseeing various business functions, ensuring the integrity of financial and operational practices.
Business Administration- Lead daily operations by managing finances, accounting, IT, HR, and overall business functions.
- Collaborate with the Executive Pastor to prepare and present monthly financial reports.
- Ensure operational excellence by overseeing insurance, legal compliance, and banking relationships.
- Guarantee adherence to church regulations and governmental requirements.
- Facilitate the annual budgeting process across all departments.
- Act as the primary gatekeeper for financial and HR documentation.
- Provide strategic guidance for maintenance, capital projects, and asset management.
- Collaborate with IT consultants to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of business systems.
- Manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and compliance.
- Oversee the annual performance review process for staff.
- Manage projects and support team development.
- Supervise Operations and Facilities teams to align with church goals.
- Recruit and train volunteers for crisis response.
- Participate in staff meetings and fulfill additional duties as assigned.
- Engage in regular meetings with the Executive Pastor to discuss ministry performance and personal development.
The Director of Operations reports directly to the Executive Pastor and will undergo an initial review after 90 days, followed by annual performance evaluations.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business management, finance, or facility oversight.
- Experience in staff supervision.
- Proficient in financial and database software.
- Strong skills in Excel and QuickBooks.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate forward-thinking.
- Familiarity with insurance, banking, and legal requirements for non-profits.
- Active commitment to personal discipleship and Christian values.
- Willingness to serve in a church environment with diverse leadership.
- Demonstrate a cooperative and respectful attitude.
- Engage actively in church life and volunteer opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
- Possess a passion for outreach and community engagement.

Salary starting at $63,500, with full medical insurance for employee and family, life insurance, PTO, retirement plan with company match, flexible scheduling, and professional development opportunities.
